SAIC MG officially unveiled the all-new pure electric coupe MG 07 at the 29th Chengdu International Auto Show on August 21, 2026. The new model is available in both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid variants, with a total of seven trim levels. The official guide price ranges from 108,900 yuan to 159,900 yuan, with a limited-time subsidized price spanning 105,900 yuan to 156,900 yuan—a direct price cut of 20,000 yuan from the pre-sale price. Within 24 days of pre-sales, the MG 07 had already accumulated over 59,000 small orders.

In terms of dimensions, the MG 07 measures 4,886 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,485 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm. The exterior features a wide-body fastback silhouette, a one-piece stamped frunk lid, four frameless doors, and a five-stage adjustable active rear spoiler, achieving a drag coefficient as low as 0.228. The front fascia is highlighted by a star-ring through-type light bar and digital hunting headlamps, while the rear is distinguished by a full-width LED taillight assembly. The color palette includes six options such as Morello Purple, Milia Pink, and Salt Lake White.
Inside, the MG 07 adopts a wraparound interstellar cockpit design, featuring a 15.6-inch floating center display and a full-digital instrument cluster, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip. Two interior color themes—White Violet and Royal Blue—are available. Standard equipment across all trims includes front seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The cabin also offers a front passenger zero-gravity queen seat, a full-piece EC dimmable panoramic glass roof, a 30-liter dual-zone in-car cooler, and a 7.1.4-channel 21-speaker panoramic sound system. The trunk provides a standard capacity of 697 liters, expandable to 1,563 liters with the rear seats folded flat, while the front trunk offers 168 liters of storage—the largest among sedans in its class. The interior is extensively wrapped in Nappa-grade leather and microfiber suede.

For intelligent driving, the MG 07 debuts the Momenta R7 World Model combined with the Xheart X7 dedicated large-model chip, forming a soft-hardware integrated solution. With the support of LiDAR and 4D millimeter-wave radar, the system delivers “interruption-free end-to-end” high-level intelligent assisted driving, covering highway NOA, urban NOA, adaptive cruise, parking assist, and active safety across all scenarios. Previously available primarily on vehicles priced above 300,000 yuan, this system is now brought to the sub-120,000-yuan segment by the MG 07. In official real-world tests, the vehicle demonstrated the ability to accurately identify unlit vehicles, curved road markers, and oncoming traffic on narrow mountain roads under challenging conditions such as the Shennongjia misty mountain roads and Enshi cliff-side roads. The chassis is equipped as standard with mCDC intelligent electromagnetic suspension, featuring 200 adjustments per second and AI preview functionality that can proactively detect road conditions 15 to 150 meters ahead.

In terms of powertrain and range, the BEV variant is built on an 800V high-voltage platform and offers two battery options: a 67 kWh semi-solid-state battery and a 91 kWh battery from CATL. The 67 kWh battery delivers a CLTC range of 610 km and 650 km depending on trim, while the 91 kWh battery achieves a CLTC range of 845 km. The 845 km version, paired with 5C ultra-fast charging technology, can recharge from 30% to 80% in just 12 minutes. The electric motor features the world’s first 18-in-1 HeatMatrix active heat-dissipation motor with an integrated thermal management system, enabling 100 consecutive zero-to-100 km/h launches without performance degradation. The tested best acceleration time is 5.67 seconds, with an average of 5.79 seconds. The plug-in hybrid variant is powered by SAIC’s DMH full-hybrid system, comprising a 1.5L high-efficiency dedicated hybrid engine (82 kW max power, 135 N·m max torque) and a drive motor (152 kW max power, 302 N·m max torque), mated to a 30 kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate battery. It delivers a CLTC pure-electric range of 245 km and a combined full-tank full-charge range of 1,745 km (tested at nearly 1,873 km), with an NEDC fuel consumption of as low as 2.79 L/100 km in charge-depleting mode.

For safety, the MG 07 features a cage body structure with over 78% high-strength steel, equipped with eight airbags including a rare rear-side airbag in its class, and meets C-NCAP five-star safety standards. The battery packs follow the high-spec strategy of “either CATL or semi-solid-state,” with the hybrid semi-solid-state battery having passed rigorous safety verifications including puncture, extrusion, and overheating tests.
According to SAIC MG’s delivery schedule, the MG 07 will officially begin customer deliveries starting August 31, 2026. The 610 km and 650 km range variants will be delivered first, while the 845 km ultra-long-range variant is scheduled to commence deliveries on October 8, 2026.
